Professional Class with Mufutau Yusuf

Mufutau Yusuf will teach professional class at Dance Cork Firkin Crane during his week-long residency in January 2024.

This workshop invites the students to engage with their own movement vocabularies and their imaginations in new ways through challenging oneself and working through one’s own limit, meanwhile having fun and sharing one’s own dance with others. There’s also much emphasis on embracing one’s own personal groove. It is a very physical and energetic practice, and most importantly fun and suitable for all ages and experiences.

Mufutau Yusuf is a performer, choreographer, teacher, and curator. He works as a freelance artist between Ireland and Brussels. A recipient of many awards, he is currently an associate artist with Liz Roche Company and Solstice Arts Centre, and is co-curator of the workshop platform 'TW1'.
