Change is a hope filled reimagining of the world

Change is a hope filled reimagining of the world with diverse bodies from diverse lands including Yves Lorrhan (Brazil), Andrea Williams (Cape Verde), Oran Leong (Ireland/Malaysia), Tanya Turner (Czech Republic/Ireland), and Bobbi Byrne (Ireland/Spain).

A celebration of interconnectedness, Change brings us back to the things that we thought we’d lost. This is an invocation, we are weaving a call to climate action. The clock is ticking. Are you on board for change?

Made in collaboration with scientists from the Environmental Research Institute at UCC, and inspired by Rebecca Solnit’s Not Too Late, Change explores hope in the face of adversity. Building resilience through connection, diversity and community, Change reveals personal experiences and feelings precipitated by these unprecedented times.

Post show discussion on Friday 14 March | Are you ready for Change? A panel discussion reflecting on the power of performance for inspiring climate action

Join us for a 30-minute post-show discussion to reflect on the power of Change for igniting climate action. Take a moment to learn more about the artistic journey of Change including its inspiration from activists and scientists, and imagine how we can work together with policymakers to embrace the arts for climate risk communication, engagement and action across all-of-society.

Moderator: Lydia Cumiskey, EU Climate Pact Ambassador and Senior Postdoctoral Researcher, MaREI Centre, Environment Research Institute, University College Cork Panellists: Tara Brandel, Choreographer of Change and Artistic Director of Croí Glan | Bobbi Byrne, Associate Artist with Croí Glan and performer in Change and Lord Mayor of Cork City, Cllr. Dan Boyle.
