National Dance Residency Partnership 2024

We are thrilled to welcome Magdalena Hylak back to DCFC along with her associate composer Lionel Kasparian. Magdalena joins us as the 2023 recipient of the National Dance Residency Partnership (NDRP) award, where she has invited a number of Irish-based dancers to join her in investigation into sound and movement confrontations.

Magdalena Hylak is the Galway Dance Artist in Residence for 2023-2024. She tours nationally and internationally as a performer with Nacera Belaza (FR) and John Scott/IMDT (IE). She has been developing her own body of work since 2021 in which she questions the notion of performance.

As part of this residency Magdalena will host two Professional Workshops on thursdays 22 & 29 February. Booking and Info here.

Magdalena will also host a free end of residency Sharing on Friday 1 March at 6pm. Please email boxoffice [at] firkincrane.ie if you would like to attend.
