Body in Dance Workshop: Connection and Expression with Renata Aspesi
Body in Dance Workshop: Connection and Expression
In this workshop we will study ways to develop physical and expressive capacities of the body. With an open regard to perceive the space around us and establishing connections with other bodies, we will recognise them as a layer of my own body, expanding my expression.
Our practice starts with a quick warm up using contemporary dance procedures, followed by a creative work of individual and group choreography. The movement experiments will focus on the expansion of our movement repertoire, inspired by relations we can create in our environment, and using choreographic tools to develop the creative potency of each body. The encounter is divided into three moments: First, we have an arriving moment to feel comfortable in the working space. Then, there is a warm up with some dance sequences to engage every part of the body in a movement state. In the last part of the practice, we will experiment a collective choreography practice, followed by an individual creation.
The workshop is open to everyone interested in expanding the boundaries of expressivity and creativity through the body in movement.
