Andrea Williams will teach weekly professional class in April

Andrea Williams will teach the weekly class during her residency at Dance Cork Firkin Crane this April.

Immerse yourself in the rhythms and movements of Africa with our contemporary dance class. Explore the fusion of traditional African dance styles with modern choreography. Andrea is inspired by  the beauty of syncopated beats, intricate footwork, and dynamic body isolations as you learn choreography inspired by diverse African cultures that influenced many known dance styles. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or stepping onto the dance floor for the first time, you’ll be welcomed to explore and have fun while doing so.

Andrea Williams is a multidisciplinary Irish/Cape Verdean artist based in Cork. Coming from a multiple diverse culture she was greatly influenced by many art forms, such as music, dance, film and visual arts. She has worked as a dancer, actor, performer, costume designer, director and theatre maker.
