John Scott holds a workshop concerned with creating/finding a choreographic universe
John Scott, Choreographer and Artistic Director of Irish Modern Dance Theatre, leads a workshop concerned with creating/finding a choreographic universe. He integrates dance, stillness, voice, text and singing. The workshop will explore ways to generate movement and performance material. Scott, known for tireless experimentation, focuses on both personal expression and ensemble work, using observation and sense awareness as an inspiration, finding new and old ways of dancing together in a safe space. Scott utilises techniques he has used for his most recent works and also draws from his performance experience with choreographers/artists as varied as Oona Doherty, Meredith Monk, Sara Rudner, Thomas Lehmen and The Living Theatre. Open to dancers, actors and musicians
