Dance Cork Firkin Crane invites you to a showing with Marta Renzi following her two week Ceist Residency at Dance Cork Firkin Crane this November
Marta will be making new work with old friends - and maybe some old work with new friends. Live and recorded.
Marta will be working with Anna Sedlačková, Selina Shida Hack and Tina Vasquez
Marta Renzi is a filmmaker and choreographer who has created over 20 short films that have screened in over 100 festivals. Marta and her Project Company received a New York Dance and Performance Award ("Bessie") in 1992 and the first Dancing in the Streets award in 1995. She has received two video dance commissions from PBS, including one made in collaboration with filmmaker John Sayles. Marta was a Bogliasco Fellow at the Liguria Center for Arts & Humanities in 2013 and a RAW Community Supported Artist in 2014. She served on the Board of Directors of Dance Films Association from 2008 - 2018.
