sharing: Alberto Denis

After a week’s residency at Dance Cork Firkin Crane, Alberto Denis will open the studio doors to share what he has worked on in the studio during the week. Denis, will be working on a dance/theatre work tentatively titled Madame JoJo's, inspired by the life of Josephine Baker, whilst also drawing from several strong marginalised female artists of the past century, which he will debut in autumn 2022 or spring 2023.

Denis' practice is rooted in his experience as a core collaborator and company member of an immersive theatre company in New York, and shaped by his international career as a burlesque performer. He will bring his experience of working in technical theatre to the creation of theatrical magic.
