On behalf of Cork City Council, we manage the Jack Lynch House. Named after former Taoiseach Jack Lynch (the first Corkman to hold the office) who was born in the house, this three-bedroomed terraced house provides self-catering accommodation for visiting artists.
With two single bedrooms and one twin room, it can be rented as an entire home or on a room-by-room basis, for a two night minimum stay. Rent is reasonable to encourage creators and performers to spend time in Cork, get to know the city and add to our rich cultural tapestry.
Facilities include a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom with electric shower. The house also has a washing machine. Linen, tableware and cookery equipment are all provided and the house is regularly serviced.
Potential occupants must be recommended by one of the arts organisations in the city.
The house is located on Bob and Joan’s Walk, Shandon, Cork T23 NF2V.
