Zoë Ashe-Brown teaches an improvisation-led class this October
This improvisation-led warm-up offers dancers space to arrive in the body and awaken their own physical practice. Through guided movement, stretches and simple improvisational tasks, we’ll gradually build warmth, mobility and awareness, allowing each dancer to listen to what their body needs that day. Rather than working towards a fixed movement language, the class encourages curiosity, autonomy and individual physical choices, preparing the body and mind for the day ahead.
Zoë Ashe-Browne is a freelance dance practitioner from Dublin. She has performed with renowned companies including the English National Ballet, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, and Eastman – Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
In 2022, Zoë was appointed Associate Artist with both Dance Ireland and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp. She is currently an Artist in Residence with Luail, Ireland’s National Dance Company, and serves as a Guest Rehearsal Director for Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. Alongside her professional practice, Zoë is a guest lecturer at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick. Her choreographic work has been presented across Europe, including performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and as a finalist at the Hannover Choreographic Competition in 2024.
