A free project led by Inma Pavon
Join dance artist Inma Pavon for a fun, energetic, free performance project this May and June at Dance Cork Firkin Crane. Beginning with a series of three evening classes, the project culminates in an outdoor public performance in Shandon in June.
Celebrating the work that is happening within the walls of the Firkin Crane as well as the new roof over our heads, and bringing dance outside for the public to experience, this project invites you to share the joy and inspiration of being part of a dance class.
The format of the classes is as follows: You will start with a short guided sitting meditation leading to simple Ballet Barre exercises. Next, you will travel across the room in short sequences (jumps, turns etc.). After this, you will execute a choreographic score (based on a series of short choreographies). The class will finish with a relaxation/cool-down yoga sequence.
The class format will be taught and repeated throughout the project and then shared during the final performance (title TBC).
