An evening of solidarity and dance
An evening of solidarity and dance
Presenting an evening of dance and togetherness this April in solidarity with our friend and colleague Tobi Omoteso. We, along with the wider dance community, were shocked and saddened to hear of the horrific attack on Tobi in March. We would like to echo the words of our dance colleagues to say that we do not tolerate racism or violence of any form. Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable, and our sector commits to challenging racism wherever it happens. In support of Tobi and taking place alongside other events organised by colleagues in the dance sector, we bring you an evening of dance, music and coming together at Dance Cork Firkin Crane programmed by dance artist Sophie Hutchinson.
Join in with a shake led by Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín, dance your heart out to a DJ set from Red FM’s Stevie G, and more on the night. Keep an eye out for more to be announced. Whether you want to join in the movement, watch from the side, or a bit of both, all are welcome.
All proceeds are being donated to Tobi Omoteso’s GoFundMe campaign.
