Presented by Dance Cork Firkin Crane as part of Pitch'd Circus and Street Arts Festival
Entre Noeuds by Cie Circographie explores the relationships connecting three individuals - their unique personalities and approaches to juggling and dance, the similarities and differences between them. During the show, they meet and interact with each other, slowly growing closer and becoming a cohesive group. Precise choreographies intertwine and unite their bodies..
What becomes possible when we share and cooperate? Do we adapt to a group, or do we become an extension of each of its members' personality ? How does diversity impact and enrich a group? The objects become the jugglers' dance partners, driving and following their movements. The choreographies are a form of "human juggling" inspired by the rhythms, patterns and principles of juggling.
Compagnie Circographie is an emerging juggling and dance company from Lille created in 2019 by choreographer Asaf Mor and the team of its first show, Entre Noeuds. Their work explores the relationship between the body and juggling objects, and how they impact and influence each other. Asaf started this research in a masterclass at Pitch'd 2018, where he and the participants created an act for the gala show, and he is very excited to bring Entre Noeuds to Cork.
