Culture Night 2024 at Dance Cork Firkin Crane

Join us as we open the doors to our current Crane Visual exhibition a little later than usual to celebrate Culture Night 2024. We encourage you to take the opportunity to visit the exhibition and view the art works of POSSIBLE LIFE by artist Chris Doris, curated by Dermot Browne. The exhibition will be open from 4.30 pm, with curator Dermot Browne on hand to discuss the exhibtion with guests, last entry will be at 7pm.

Crane Visual, curated by Dermot Browne, is located in the Musgrave Theatre at Dance Cork Firkin Crane. The current exhibition Possible Life is a series of large ‘punk zen’ Indian brush drawings on water colour paper by artist Chris Doris.

These large circular works of art are ambiguous, alluding to cellular and planetary cosmic fields of becoming. The images are informed by the artist’s long experience as a meditator and psychotherapist in Western and Buddhist psychology. The works rest on the contemplative seeing of somatic and cosmic fields – macro and micro.
