Firkin Crane Theatre, Cork: Change by Croí Glan

Croí Glan will be in residence at Dance Cork Firkin Crane this November

Croí Glan will be undertaking research for an ambitious new mid-scale production for six dancers that concerns itself with Climate Change and particularly issues of Climate Justice. Led by Artistic Director Tara Brandel, a team of dancers and creatives will gather to explore and weave together stories that reveal personal experiences and feelings about climate justice; crystallising core themes and images for the work and beginning to generate choreographic material that conveys these.

Co-founded and directed by Tara Brandel and Rhona Coughlan in 2006, Croí Glan is based in County Cork and produces bold, engaging, high-calibre productions with dancers both with and without disabilities. The company highlights the value of diverse bodies in performance and has been nominated as Best Performance Ensemble Dublin Fringe 2012 and 2016 and has produced over 20 works for national and international touring.

Funded by an Arts Council Arts Grant Award for Dance
and by Cork City Council.
