Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín will be in residence at Dance Cork Firkin Crane in August and September
During her residency Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín will begin researching a new piece looking at the portrayal and lived embodied experience of women's bodies in Gaeilge songs and poems over the last 100 years. Siobhán will work with expert collaborators using modern Irish poetry, contemporary dance and music to energise and enliven, through dance, this wealth of literary insight.
Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín is a dance artist based in Cork, Ireland. Her primary focus is on place-based and site-specific work manifesting in film and live performance. Siobhán enjoys collaborative work and has created alongside poets, actors, singers, geologists, boat-builders and musicians. She has performed with Joan Davis, Jessie Keenan, Junk Ensemble, Laura Murphy, Mary Nunan and Mary Wycherley, and was a member of Croí Glan Integrated Dance Company.
