New York performer/choreographer Bill Irwin and Irish dancer, Colin Dunne come to Dance Cork Firkin Crane for a brief residency this October
Dance Cork Firkin Crane will host New York performer / choreographer Bill Irwin and Irish dancer, Colin Dunne in a brief residency October 2023. The two dance veterans will meet together in the Dance Cork Firkin Crane studios — with “pointed absence of agenda” — to compare percussive dance vocabularies from their separate sides of the Atlantic. Mutual admiration set this Residency idea in motion — designed as a series of studio hours for primary research and comparison — and the two artists greatly thank Dance Cork Firkin Crane, and Composer Bill Whelan, for sponsoring this meeting of the feet.
Bill Irwin will also teach a Vintage Inspired Dance Class on Thursday 12 October at 11am. >>>Book Here >>>
