IDC is delighted to host Adam Benjamin for a 2-day workshop this February

Inclusive Dance Cork (IDC) is delighted to host Adam Benjamin for a 2-day workshop, 10am - 5pm each day, exploring inclusive dance methodologies, improvisation techniques and collaborative practice.  

Adam is a renowned choreographer, educator, and pioneer of integrated dance. He was co-founder and artistic director of Candoco Dance Company (1991–1998), the first professional company for disabled and non-disabled dancers. Adam’s accolades include a TimeOut London Performance Award and a National Teaching Fellowship. His seminal book, Making an Entrance (Routledge, 2001; 2nd ed. 2022), is a key text in the field. He has choreographed for companies such as Vertigo Dance Company, Scottish Dance Theatre and Croí Glan Integrated Dance and has led major projects around the world. His teaching and facilitation are widely sought after, combining his expertise in improvisation, choreography, and inclusive dance practice he continues to innovate through projects likeThe Dancers’ Forest.

This workshop is open to individuals with and without disabilities, including dance practitioners, movement artists, and anyone interested in exploring inclusive dance practice.
