THIS IS US Cork Youth Ballet Company

Directed by Sinead Murphy, This Is Us will feature 21 dancers who will showcase their versatility and creativity by performing specially choregraphed pieces in neo classical, contemporary and jazz dance styles.

The programme will feature new and reworked choreography by Sinéad Murphy, Alan Foley Artistic Director Cork City Ballet, Patricia Crosbie, Ballet Mistress with Cork City Ballet and lecturer of dance in University of Limerick, Robert Foley of IAB, Inma Pavon, Erika Gatt Coleiro and Lindsay O’ Leary.
Lighting Design is by renowned Lighting Designer Tim Feehily.

Founded by Sinead Murphy in 2015, the company provides opportunities for young Cork dancers to train as a company and to produce dynamic new choreography as well studying repertoire from classical ballets. It provides a great opportunity for the dancers to broaden their horizons and to work and train in a dance style that might be outside their original form of dance training.

There will be a special guest performance by Inclusive Dance Cork (IDC. IDC will present -ENOUGH- featuring past IDC alumni, Iona Pegler, Juliet Malone, Emily Coleman and Rebecca Griffin, with choreography by Maeve Kelleher.
IDC is a training programme for people with and without disabilities interested in learning inclusive dance methods. A project of Dance Cork Firkin Crane, IDC is supported by Rethink Ireland’s Resilient Cork Fund 2025, the Community Foundation for Ireland, and local donors. Led by Artistic Director Rhona Coughlan and Project Coordinator Louisa Sloan, IDC partners with Cork ETB and Horizon Cork | Suisha Inclusive Arts.
