UCC Musical Theatre Society present All Shook Up, a Broadway musical inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and music from Elvis Presley.
UCC Musical Theatre Society are delighted to present All Shook Up, a Broadway musical inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and music from Elvis Presley. The story is set in a small Midwestern town in the 1950s where Natalie, a feisty mechanic, lives amongst a town of Broken Hearted Lovers. One day a roustabout named Chad turns up on a motorbike, and with a guitar in his hand, ready to change this town with his rock and roll music. Natalie falls instantly in love with Chad but is completely ignored by him. The mayor Matilda is eager to get rid of this roustabout as there is a ban in the town on loud music and public necking, both of which Chad seems to encourage everywhere he goes. Natalie is desperate for Chad’s attention but he doesn’t so much as give her a second glance but seems to be igniting love amongst various couples within this town.
The story follows the intricate storyline of each of the couples and love triangles in this show. Does Chad fall for Natalie? And will strict Matilda give in and allow music in the town once again? Does love win in the end? Join us to find out!
